I don't know the bartenders name but she's very friendly which makes customers want to come back again. I'm visiting from out of town and welcome the friendly environment.
Food is delicious and the ambience is like a fun western bar setting. I'm not a drinker and not much of a country western fan but I had a good time just hanging out and eating lunch.
I'd recommend the chicken kabob plate. Very good. -

We were desperate for dinner after driving from Mt Rainer and saw the great reviews on yelp. I was not impressed.
This place was not what I thought it would be. The food was not tasty at all and the service below average. There was only one other couple in the whole place aside from us but our waitress took forever to take our orders. When she did, she never came back for refills or anything else. -

I remember when this place was called "Amar's". I think the menu is about the same. I haven't been inside the restaurant since the name change but I did order from them two weeks ago and had my food delivered via UberEats.
I ordered a chicken gyro with sauce...the one that starts with a 't' that I don't even want to misspell...it's the Greek dressing/sauce made with yogurt, garlic, dill, cucumber, onion. And I also ordered the basic Greek side salad. O.M.G.!! Everything was soooooo delicious! The pita bread had fresh grill marks on it and was thick and chewy and just amazing. When pita bread is made correctly, it's so great! This was made correctly. It might not be made in-house, I have no idea. But I don't think it was bought at Safeway, either. The salad was HUGE for a "side salad"! I was so pleased. Delicious Kalamata olives (the pits were still in them, which was a deal breaker for another reviewer but I handled it without too much weeping), fresh Feta cheese, crisp Romaine lettuce, crisp red onions, cherry tomatoes sliced and artfully arranged on the top of the salad...
I had zero complaints about my food and plan on ordering from them again or maybe even checking out the restaurant in person. -

Cute place! Small with maybe 8 bar seats and a dozen tables, but also kinda cozy. Friendly staff and lots of beers and ciders on tap. We ordered lunch and it was really tasty with good sized portions. I had the chicken satay and my husband had the gyro. I would probably swing by again, especially if I was attending an event at the tacoma dome. Just to be clear though, this is most definitely a bar.

I was actually looking for a place to park so I could go to the Indian Restaurant around the corner when I found Sluggo's. Because I couldn't find parking close I decided to check out the menu at Sluggo's and was happy to see they had a Falafel sandwich and waffle fries.
I went in and was greeted by a pleasant lady behind the bar. She told me to sit anywhere and she came over to get my drink order. Once she left I noticed the smell. It is a bar so I expected a "bar" smell, but it was actually somewhat vomitus. Not enough to make me leave and it was not overpowering but it was there.
The presentation of the sandwich was very nice so I was eager to dive right in. It was very good, both the sandwich and the waffle fries.
I would recommend this place.
